Booked an SAS flight using VS Miles / Poiints and I have the virgin booking reference PNR.
However trying to use the same on SAS website and app does not give any results.
How to do I go about getting SAS booking reference for this VS points redemption?Answering my own Q:
You phone-up VS who will provide SK booking reference.
Simple as that!I had this recently – and was a little concerned about the booking – but received it via text from SAS when I hadn’t checked in a few hours before the flight.
Quite a nuisance if one needs to phone to get it otherwise though…
Does VS points redemption on SAS not include carryon luggage. My online check in shows only one checked in baggage and one personal item for under seat storage not the main carryon luggage.
Anyone completed their VS on SAS booking recently to share experience?
In my recent experience (about a month ago), I checked a bag in and just had a folio rather than a main carryon – although as far as I am aware I could have taken a main carry-on. I suspect it doesn’t make a difference, but I am Eurobonus Silver.
Unfortunately, there is not even an option to prepay or buy extra baggage at online check in or prior to that via manage my booking. The only way to pay is at airport with 50 euro per carry on bag per flight.
While main check in bag is included, but not having a main carry on but slim under seat storage that too very slim dimensions is not helpful and none of that is made clear until you actually check in.
As usual VS and SK pass the buck to each other. Those dimensions are even smaller than my dell laptop bag!Luckily I was observant and will manage this time, otherwise for a large family it could be big issue at the airport.
My wife and I travelled on 3 SAS Flights recently using Virgin Points, LHR-CPH-ARN-LHR. We travelled cabin bag only without any issues.[max. dimensions 55x40x23. Max weight 8Kg.] I had been concerned beforehand that carry on bag may not have been included
as it wasn’t detailed on the ticket. We were boarded in Group 4 and it appeared that only those in group 5 which corresponded to passengers travelling on SAS GO Lite fares were not entitled to anything other than underseat bag.
