In the past I’ve managed to extend a voucher by booking a flight, and then rebooking it to a later date. Is this still possible or have they closed this loophole.
In essence, I’ve a voucher expiring in Feb, if I were to book something prior to it’s departure, could I still move it to a later date post expiration date?
Might help if you specified which vouchers 🙂
Ah yes, the Virgin Atlantic Credit Card Reward Vouchers… so the ones that can be used on 2-4-1 or upgrade!
Yes, I’ve done this. All in all, Virgin are very loose with these vouchers, unlike BA. There’s quite a bit of flexibility in them, e.g. they don’t tend to enforce travel by the expiry date – you can often get away with book by.
Not sure when you did this though… Have a read of this thread https://www.headforpoints.com/forums/topic/is-voucher-expiry-book-by-or-travel-outbound-by/page/2/
All you can do is call and ask.
