Does anyone know of any updates coming for the Virgin and Westjet codeshare agreement? Are we going to be able to book Westjet flights using Virgin Points, similar to how you can with Delta Skymiles? I’m sure I read that it was coming this year but haven’t seen any news
I only recall the code share agreement and nothing else being mentioned let alone a timeline.
Expanding a codeshare agreement to include earning points and redemptions requires a whole separate legal framework and approvals which neither airline might want to subject themselves to.
