We booked with travel republic and it was considerably cheaper than anywhere else. We booked quite far out to get the deal.
63 days until my 4 month trip, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Laos, this is part an exploration trip, and also looking into options for a base to spend the future uk winters in.
Rough itinerary – in a clockwise direction, to max out visa allowances, and avoid inclement weather.
Cambodia – Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, Krong Battambang, Kep, Koh Rong Sanloem, Koh Rong, (Koh Kood, may be scrapped because of the border disputes, as I wanted to cross on the Hat Lek Border crossing, which is a no go atm)
Thailand – Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi, Ratchaburi, Kanchanaburi, Uthai Thani, Sukhothai, Chiang Rai, Ban Pha Mi.
Laos – Huay Xai, Pak Beng, Luang Prabang, Nong Khiaw, Muang Ngoy, Luang Namtha, Muang Sing.
Vietnam – Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Sapa, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Ninh Binh, Tam Coc, Phong Nha, Hue, Danang, Hoi An, Dalat, Mui Ne, HCMC.
Redemption booking LGW-SGN, QR, return, In J, 150K Avios and £580 fees.
Not decided on Christmas and new year locations as yet, but I’m sure I can survive plonked on a beach somewhere!
If I survive, I intent to plan another similar trip possibly in 2026, taking in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.
