Flying from Manchester next month on a BA flight number, operated by emerald air.

I have a choice of Aspire Lounge or Escape lounge with my loungekey card, I think its from T1, which lounge is the best?

Try them both to see which dissapoints the most, they are directly opposite each other, and unless pre-booked more often or not turn away PP etc walk ups. In fact enjoying turning people away seems to be part of the induction training. The Escape seems to have more ‘fill yer boots’ clients, the Aspire less so, as more airline business class passengers.

Aspire in T1 is generally the nicer space with loads of natural light and less garish design but as Qwerty says, they are opposite one another.

They share the same toilets outside of the lounge. Should capacity be an issue, you can let the friendly receptionist know that you are just nipping to the restroom and will be back in a few minutes. Your place won’t be given away whilst you try the other lounge to see which you prefer.

I like the aspire, it’s not amazing but it’s good enough, has some apron views if I’ve not got my terminals mixed up!

Aspire now consistently lets passholders in. Escape never does. Food-wise, in my view Aspire does better hot food. Escape does better sandwiches. Long gone are the Priority Pass highpoint days when I’d go to Aspire for my main course then nip across to Escape for their traybake cakes.

Or when BA had thier own lounge in T3 but cut back on bacon butties, early morning start at escape, before the crowds, for a bacon butty to take into the BA lounge.
