Will any Amex work when booking a 2 for 1 voucher?

Hi All

Am I correct in thinking that any Amex card can be used when booking a 2-4-1 voucher?

Aka It doesn’t have to the the BA Amex that I earnt the vouchers with?

Does this also include business Amex cards?

Yes I have used a US Amex in someone else’s name to pay for bookings.

Amex will tell you it has to be ‘the’ card when you try to cancel a card but it doesn’t. BA tell you the card has to be in the same name as the owner of the voucher though. Not sure about business vs personal.

I should clarify I tell BA that the card is name of owner of the 2 for 1 but AMEX doesn’t seem to verify name or address regarding phone or online transactions.
