You’ve been provisionally approved for a different offer

Finally got around to applying for the 100k offer. I’m a premier banker and don’t have any barclaycards. But after completing the initial info request I get:

“You’ve been provisionally approved for a different offer

we can’t give you the exact card you selected, but we can offer you…”

Then it still offers me the plus card but:

“If you’re new to Barclaycard, you’ll collect 25,000 Avios if you spend £3,000 in your first 3 months”

Any advice?

Advice on how to get accepted for the 100k offer? As far as I can tell I am otherwise eligible.

I suspect if you go ahead and apply you will get the 25k points and then the 100k in four months time. Worth a go right? You may get an email within a few weeks of applying for the avios plus card confirming the 100k offer.

Yeah, i think you are good to go, as long as you have the premier banking, paid avios BC plus and switch on avios reward on your premier plus, that should give you 100k.

Use current account switching service (no need at application) and should qualify for the extra 25k if you do it within 4 months of opening the bank account. Took a few days to show on my account once i used the switching service (shown on my account yesterday) and only applied the switching service a few days before.

Thanks both. My reluctance is I’m hitting a specific screen after eligibility check, before proceeding with submitting the application saying I’m only eligible for a different offer. Just wanted to see if anyone else had come across this or if I should try something else before proceeding with the 25k offer!

This happened to me – I applied and it tracked for the 100k offer with no issues
