Save 10% on Hyatt US and Caribbean stays with discounted gift cards

Hyatt has launched its annual sale on Hyatt-branded gift cards. You can save 10% on any purchase.
The good news for UK residents is that Hyatt is now offering electronic gift certificates. These will be emailed to you and so there is no expense for postage.
These certificates should only be used for Hyatt stays in the USA. They are technically valid in Canada and the Caribbean as well. However, because they are denominated in US$, you will be stung badly by the dubious hotel exchange rate if you use them outside the USA.
You can only use certificates at check-out and not for ‘pay in advance’ rooms. You could use them to pay for your incidental spending in the hotel on an ‘advance purchase’ rate.
The sale runs until the end of the year. The gift certificates will never expire – see the FAQ on the Hyatt site for full details.
You can buy gift certificates via the Hyatt website here. You need to use promotional code GPGIFT14 to see the discount.
