Back in 2014, Starwood (owners of St Regis, Le Meridien, Westin, W, Sheraton, Aloft etc) ran a ‘3 for 2’ promotion in the Middle East in association with Mastercard. I took advantage of it when I was in Doha last year.
The promotion is back for 2015 – it has been running for a while, it seems, in a very low key way.
For 2015, it is valid for ‘3 for 2’ stays across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The home page for the offer is here.
In theory you should pay with a Mastercard although that does not appear to be essential.
You need to book a 3, 4 or 6 night stay, which will price with 1, 1 and 2 free nights respectively.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Looking at the Sheraton Grand Edinburgh for September 4th to 7th, the lowest price under this promotion is £179 per night. However, the hotel is currently on the SPG Hot Escapes promotion and under that rate is it £177 per night.
At the St Regis in Doha (photo above) for the same dates, things are more promising. The ‘3 for 2’ rate is QAR 789 compared to a cheapest standard rate of QAR 944. The Mastercard deal offers genuine value here.
I will add a link to this promotion to our ‘Hotel Offers’ page under the list of SPG offers.
