  Don’t leave it too late with your Diamond Club card – council tax, utilities etc – as the purchase need to POST to your a/c by 30th September – this can take a couple of days

  Just planning ahead for a life without Diamond Club (and a milestone anniversary next year) – how quickly does Hilton gold status come through after hitting 10k spend? Do you have to wait for a statement date? Thanks.

    If your after Hilton status and have the £99 ihg card(which gives you premium elite ihg status) then Hilton will status match to diamond.

      Status match ended. They are now doing a challenge, for Diamond you need 8 stays in 90 days. 4 for Gold.

        They say stays however I got 2 stay credit for 2 nights on the same booking at a Hampton, so its more easily achievable if its 8 nights.

          Reward nights also count towards the 8.

          Shame it isn’t nights or you could just book 8 nights at one of the 5,000 point hotels, pitch up to check in and then leave!

    I’m wondering whether it’s worth going over the top with bulk purchases of gift cards. First, we aren’t 100% sure that the offer WILL end (there have been false alarms before), and second, I expect they’ll do their 100 point offer on £20 gift cards again before Christmas, which is more lucrative than 150 per £50.

      I’ve thought about doing a mad dash for gift cards, but decided with a holiday, wedding and spouse visa application coming up that I’ve got enough spending coming up for now.

      Think I’m a convert to the M&S food hall though so I should be stockpiling some I suppose.

        I spoke to the Tesco employee who deals with the gift cards at one of our Tesco Extra stores in Dundee the other day and she knew nothing about it! Told her I was stocking up before the offer ended. We will need to wait and see I suppose.

      It’s a good time to stock up now whilst the Amex Esso offer is on so you can buy £50 Tesco giftcards for £45 then liquidate through buying other GCs in Tesco and lock in the 150 points.

  OT – regarding Accelerate did anyone get the Saturday stay bonus in their offer? Is it just stay two weekend nights of which one must be a Saturday or something different as the wording is terrible and suggests that a 2 night stay inc Saturday must be booked. Thanks

  Did anyone get the miles posted for the Best Western Miles&More promo?
  I registered on the BW and Miles&More page but my most recent stay only posted 500 miles instead of 3500.
