WorldHotels is a marketing group that represents 350 hotels. Rather like Leading Hotels of the World, it allows properties to remain independent whilst still benefiting from marketing synergies.
WorldHotels has decided to close its Peakpoints loyalty scheme. The scheme has only been running for four years – this is the article I wrote when it launched.
Existing members have until 15th July to use their points. A new scheme, called TheList, is planned for later in 2018 but there will be a gap when there is nothing available.
WorldHotels was acquired by Associated Luxury Hotels in February 2017 which may have been a trigger for the change.
