News in brief:

Aer Lingus adds two new UK regional routes

Aer Lingus is adding two new routes from Dublin to the UK. These will both be operated by Emerald Airlines as part of its Aer Lingus franchise agreement, and will use small ATR72-600 turboprop aircraft.

The two routes are:

  • Dublin to Aberdeen – two flights per day from 30th October
  • Dublin to Southampton – one flight per day from 30th October

Whilst the Aberdeen timings are OK for business travellers, the Southampton route is not as convenient. The Dublin flight departs at 1.35pm whilst the Southampton flight departs at 3.40pm.

Avios seats will be available, bookable either via ba.com or (for AerClub or Vueling Club members) via avios.com.

You can book these flights for cash via the Aer Lingus website here.
