Here’s the small print:

  • you need to book by 4th December
  • you must travel by 31st January (Christmas Day and Boxing Day excluded)
  • you must be an Amazon Prime member and use your Prime email address when booking
  • you can use the deal with Discount Coachcards but not concessionary fares
  • you must pay via Check Out with Amazon Pay

British Airways and Aurigny have an interline agreement

For some reason this wasn’t publicised at the time, but a reader pointed out that British Airways now has an interline agreement with Guernsey carrier Aurigny.

Having had a dig through the Guernsey press it seems that this was actually launched in July 2022.

Historically BA and Aurigny only shared operations at London Gatwick. However, in 2024 Aurigny will also be flying between London City and Guernsey 13 times per week.

An interline agreement is NOT a codeshare. You won’t earn Avios or BA tier points on Aurigny services if you book a BA flight on ba.com with an Aurigny connection. You will, however, get your luggage transferred across with no requirement to check it in again after the first flight.

Eurowings launching flights to Stuttgart

Eurowings, the low cost Lufthansa subsidiary, is launching flights from Manchester to Stuttgart.

Services will comments on 6th May. There will be four flights per week on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

The flights will be bookable using Miles & More miles, although in my experience Eurowings redemptions are often poor value, and will also earn Miles & More credit.

best credit card to use when buying flights

How to maximise your miles when paying for flights (September 2025)

Some UK credit cards offer special bonuses when used for buying flights. If you spend a lot on airline tickets, using one of these cards could sharply increase the credit card points you earn.

The card comes with a sign-up bonus of 20,000 Membership Rewards points. These would convert to 20,000 Avios or various other airline or hotel programmes. The standard earning rate is 1 point per £1.

Just a typo: I presume you mean British Airways and not British Airway?

  • L Allen says:

    Couple of typos:
“You won’t earn Avios or BA tier points on Aurigny services if you BOOK a BA flight on ba.com” (word in caps is missing)
“Services will comments on 6th May. ” Should be COMMENCE

I booked this Black Friday national express ticket yesterday. They charge a £1.50 booking fee, however you can avoid this if you create an account first!

    • Richmond_Surrey says:

I booked it a few days ago and took a bus today from Heathrow to Gatwick and then local bus home. Better than taking red bus from Heathrow to South London.

  • dan_a_man says:

Been living in Guernsey for years and wasnt aware of this. BA used to have flights from LCY to GCI and it felt like barely any of the population was aware that BA even had a flight to Guernsey. I do wish BA comes back to Guernsey one day so we can use a normal sized piece of hand luggage…

    • Guernsey Globetrotter says:

You’re just not shoving it into the Aurigny overhead hard enough @dan_a_man ! 😉

  • Mike Hunt says:

Let’s have a Rhys review of a National Express journey !

  • Dylan says:

These Eurowings flights are showing as £299.99 per person EACH WAY for a basic, restricted hand luggage only fare. That’s absolutely ludicrous.

  • Alex says:

Not sure those Eurowings flights are supposed to be booked yet being £299 each way

  • jannis says:

just booked one national express via amzonpay,.
somehow still get charged the full price

    • executiveclubber says:

was it for a ticket between now and 31st January, and do you have Amazon Prime (not just an Amazon account)?

    • Jon says:

Just worked for me! We got tickets back home from Heathrow for £4 each! Thanks HfP.
