Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Get an exclusive Virgin x Crosley turntable for just 1 Virgin Point!

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

If you are sitting on a small balance of Virgin Points, here is the offer you’ve been waiting for.

EDIT: all 200 turntables sold out very quickly, sorry if you missed it

You can get a Virgin x Crosley record player for just ONE point. Yes, that’s not a typo.

This is, obviously, an exceptional offer. Even our much vaunted Greggs sausage roll redemption will set you back 200 points!

Virgin Red has commissioned another batch of Virgin-branded Crosley turntables. To quote:

“This smooth operator has been made exclusively for Virgin, with a lightweight case you can take anywhere. Control your sounds with pitch control, built-in speakers and a Bluetooth receiver.”

Virgin Crosley turntable

The full specifications are:

  • 3-Speed Turntable (33 ⅓, 45 & 78 RPM)
  • Built-in Full-Range Stereo Speakers
  • Adjustable Pitch Control
  • Cueing Lever
  • Aux Input
  • RCA Output
  • Headphone Jack
  • 35cm x 26cm x 11.99cm

When they originally launched last year, the turntables cost 20,000 Virgin Points including delivery (presumably UK addresses only). Now, however, Virgin Red is offering them at a special, limited price of just 1 point.

On a ‘value per point’ basis you’re getting over £100 for your point 😉

You can order via the Virgin Red app or website. If you are not already registered for Virgin Red, you should download the app to your smartphone and follow the instructions to link your Virgin Flying Club account.

This is a limited time offer, until 31st December, although it’s likely that stocks will run out sooner than that!

I got in contact with virgin red. They all sold out unfortunately which is why it’s not available anymore on the app/website.

  • TomB says:

I got one of these last year and whilst I’m no audiophile the sound quality is utterly atrocious. Bought another cheap brand from Richer Sounds which is fantastic. Only mentioning this in case any buyers actually plan on using it to listen to vinyls rather than having it for whatever other reason.

    • Rhys says:

Obviously – any turntable with built in speaker isn’t going to pass muster!

      • TomB says:

Yeah I guess, I just figured if you hooked it up to an amp via the phono out the quality would be better haha

    • Travel Strong says:

They are indeed dangerous. I looked at one last time, then researched how poor they were, then ended up buying over £1k of excellent quality direct drives turntables, mixer and studio speakers… none of which I would have purchased if I had not gone down the virgin turntables rabbit hole! 😅

  • Chris W says:

What an odd promotion. Price a (very) limited number of stock at a price so low it would sell out in minutes, yet say it is available until 31 Dec.

What did they expect would happen beyond a lot of disappointed Virgin Red members?

Why not set a time in the future when they would go on sale for everyone to try their luck at once?

  • HampshireHog says:

Hope it’s got two way blue tooth

  • Ben Murphy-Ryan says:

Think I nabbed one at 10.22! Just in time

  • Londonsteve says:

So they gave them away. In my opinion that’s what they’re worth. The problem is these turntables are so poor quality the downward tracking force on the stylus is enormous. They’re literally destroying records as they play them and if you value your vinyl records at all, you wouldn’t play them on one of these things. They’ve got a novelty value to play Max Bygraves LPs bought in a charity shop for a few pence, otherwise they’re useless.

  • @mkcol says:

Can’t wait to get mine on eBay!

  • Matt H says:

Great novelty, but that cart/stylus fixed tonearm looks trash! A record-ruiner!
