Marriott Bonvoy is bringing its ‘Gourmet Odyssey’ programme back to London, with a six course extravaganza on Saturday 6th September.
It is decent value at 40,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for two people. We joined one of these last year (our own points, not a media freebie!) and have booked on again.
You can redeem via ‘Marriott Moments’ here.

This time, there’s a catch
This event is restricted to Marriott Bonvoy American Express cardholders.
This is the first time that Marriott has ever restricted a ‘Marriott Moments’ event in the UK to holders of its credit card. It will be interesting to see if this becomes a regular feature or not.
EDIT: Given that the event still sold out quickly, I suspect Marriott may be emboldened to try this restriction again to boost card sign-ups.
What does this ‘Gourmet Odyssey’ include?
This is what you get:
Experience the culinary highlights of London while exploring the city on a six-course lunch on Saturday 6 September. You and your guest will attend a welcome reception at the iconic St Pancras London, Autograph Collection Hotel. Then make your way to three of the top restaurants in Kings’ Cross — Booking Office 1869, Bubala, and Porte Noire —to savour six courses with wine pairings during your Gourmet Odyssey.
Renowned for its expertly crafted cocktails and British-European cuisine, Booking Office 1869 offers a unique blend of history and innovation, making it a standout destination for both travelers and locals.
Bubala (meaning “darling”) is all about vibrant food, generosity, and a passion for hospitality. They take inspiration from across the Middle East with bold, complex flavors and textures, resulting in food that is playful and champions the humble vegetable.
Founded by Idris Elba and David Farber, the wine-led restaurant – Porte Noire – offers a seasonal Mediterranean menu in an intimate and relaxed setting, bringing the hospitality from the classic wine regions to London.
Experience includes:
- 11:30 – Welcome reception at the iconic St Pancras London, Autograph Collection Hotel
- Six-course Gourmet Odyssey at three restaurants:
- Booking Office 1869
- Bubala
- Porte Noire Restaurant and Wine Bar
No children under 18 are allowed and no transport or accommodation is included.
The way it works is that the whole group – it will be around 45 people – comes together at the beginning for the reception. You are then split into three sub-groups, each of which visits the restaurants in a different order.
One interesting effect of this is that each group gets a different experience. Some will have appetisers at the restaurant where another group gets its main courses and another group gets its desserts.
You can book for 40,000 Bonvoy points for two people here. There were 13 pairs of tickets left at 11pm last night.
Remember that you must be a Marriott Bonvoy American Express cardholder to redeem.
