New Accor 'triple points' hotel promotion

Earn quadruple Accor Live Limitless points

Take a look here for details of this offer, as well as the registration link.

Remember that Accor brands include ibis, Novotel, Sofitel, Mercure, MGallery, Raffles, Fairmont, Swissotel, Pullman etc.

As usual with Accor offers, it is a bit of a faff:

  • you need to register in advance of booking via this page of the Accor site (stays booked before registration do not count)
  • you must book your stay by Monday 2nd December
  • you must book for at least two nights
  • you must stay by 28th February 2025
  • you will earn quadruple base points on up to two stays during the promo period

There are two different bonuses:

  • bookings made via the app will earn 4x points
  • bookings made via the website will earn a lower rate of 3x points

The offer is valid at Accor hotels in Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, French Guyana, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and Uzbekistan.

What are quadruple Accor points worth?

Our article on what we think Accor Live Limitless points are worth is here.

1 point is worth 2 Eurocents off your next booking, although you need to redeem in chunks of 2,000 points.

The standard earn rate at most brands is 2.5 points per €1. Quadruple base points means 10 points per €1. This means 20 Eurocents of free stays for every €1 you spend, pre-tax, which is a decent return. Anyone with elite status will earn even more.

You can also transfer your Accor points to Avios although you lose value compared to using them for a discount on a future stay.

You can find out more, and register for quadruple points, here.

get a 20% bonus when you buy an Accor gift card

And …. get a 15% bonus when you buy an Accor gift card

Accor is also running a special Black Friday promotion on its UK and Euro gift cards.

Via this page of the Accor website, you can purchase gift cards for £100, £200, €100 or €200 and get an extra 15% loaded on top.

The site defaults to £ but if you click the ‘GBP’ button in the top right you can toggle to a Euro currency if necessary.

The offer runs until Monday.

The gift cards are only valid at ‘1,500 hotels in Europe’ which includes the UK. You should ONLY use one when paying a bill in the same currency as the card itself or you risk being dinged by a bad exchange rate.

Note that gift cards cannot be used on the Accor website, which means that you won’t be able to benefit from any cheaper pre-paid rates. If you tend to book flexible rates, however, it is a genuine saving. I bought a chunk last year and used them at Fairmont Windsor Park to pay for a stay I’d already booked on a flexible rate.

You can use the gift card towards food, drink and other room charges on a pre-paid stay.

You can stack this offer with the quadruple points deal above.

Let’s assume that, as an Accor Platinum member, I book (via the app) a £345 ‘pay on departure’ 2-night UK stay. I can pay for this with £300 of gift cards, if I buy them now with the 15% bonus, giving me an immediate saving of £45.

As a Platinum member I would get 10 base points per €1 via ‘quadruple points’ plus an extra 1.875 points on top as a status bonus. This is a total of 11.875 points per €1, or 23.75 Eurocents per €1 of pre-tax spend.

23.75% of (£345 – 20% VAT) £287.50 is £68.28, albeit received in Accor points to use on a future stay. Add in the £45 saved via the gift cards and I’ve got a £113.28 return on my £345 stay by combining the two deals for a total return of 32%.

You can register for quadruple points here.

  • Kowalski says:

Thanks Rob, these look like a cracking offers! Shame hotels in the UAE aren’t included, but still should be able to make use of them in the UK.

    • Kowalski says:

Although I’ve just tried to register…

      We are sorry…
A technical problem has stopped the offer from being activated. You may attempt again or return later.

      • Dubious says:

I had the same issue. I had to try a few times once logged in, VPN disabled and country settings changed the UK/Europe.

    • Kowalski says:

      Successfully registered now!

I presume this will stack with the Black Friday 25% off at Sofitel hotels!

  • planeconcorde says:

The 15% extra on gift cards terms and conditions claim that “between 28 November and 29 November 2024 while stocks (665 Gift Cards available).”

That’s seems a small number. Be quick if interested.

Also if you go to the Accor Germany web site it is possible to purchase gift cards in EUR or CHF. There may be another sub web site where gift cards can be purchased in PLN, but Polish isn’t good enough to check.

  • The real Swiss Tony says:

Last year when they ran this offer, the list of available hotels was very strange. I couldn’t find a list (beyond the countries) this year, but might be worth double checking before buying. And as noted by @planeconcorde I saw that 665 limitation & thought it rather stingy!

  • Raj says:

    Hey Rob,

I think there might be a error in the article regarding the usage of gift card.
According to the FAQ, it mentions the gift card can be used for any rate and you can use the gift card at the hotel. And you pre-paid amount will be refunded.

This is the exact text from the website. Can you confirm which is correct?
    https://all.accor.com/a/en/information/frequently-asked-questions-giftcard.html

Can I book any rate with my ALL Gift Card?
Yes, of course you can book any rate offered at ALL.com. Please note that you cannot redeem your gift voucher for payment at the time of booking, but only at check-out at your chosen hotel. Any bookings paid in advance will be refunded at the hotel and your gift voucher will be used as payment. Your ALL Gift Card is only valid for bookings made direct through ALL.com or the ALL app.

    • Rob says:

Interesting. This may be new. However, based on my experience last year, hotels have never seen one of these before and I REALLY wouldn’t want to be having that discussion.

(Fun fact. 9 months after the stay where I used gift cards to pay, the hotel contacted me and accused me of not settling my bill and threatening legal action. After 9 months.)

      • Raj says:

Ah ok, I understand. Customer care didn’t help much. I’m trying to contact the reception of the hotel I’m planning to stay often. I’ve also sent an email.

I will update if I find an answer.

        • Raj says:

Got reply to my email from the General manager of a Ibis Budget hotel. He also linked the FAQ for reference.

I will be trying in January, so hopefully it works as mentioned.

          —————

Thank you for getting in touch to clarify the T&C’s of the gift card. To answer your question, Yes you can book the advance saver rate.

Please see the link for FAQ’s and also the process for when you book the advance saver rate. Also just to clarify, at Ibis budget payment is required on arrival, so once you hand in your gift card at the desk we will proceed with the refund of the advance payment that was already made.

  • broomy23 says:

I have a stay in Edinburgh in a couple weeks, just purchased a gift card to pay for that. Only a £15 saving, but every little helps. Thanks Rob!

  • Concerto says:

Don’t touch these unless you are sure you can actually use these vouchers. I’m still trying to use vouchers I bought last year, but most receptionists and their managers squint at it as if they were 3-dollar bills. And most of the hotels I need to use are simply not on that PDF list of properties. So I’m stuck with these stupid vouchers now and I am no fan of Accor, really not. Accor is not a nice company to do business with and its customer service is borderline nonexistent.

  • Dominic Barrington says:

If you have the All Plus Voyageur card, which gets a discount on bookings made on the website, is the saving on the gift cards really worth having?

    • planeconcorde says:

If you are booking APV discount flexible rates then when you check in / out pay with a gift card, to stack both.

    • RussellH says:

Why should it not be worth having?

We book the All Plus Voyageur rate, and then pay at check out. We shall have a bill at one hotel (on the list) for €260,64. We shall pay with a EUR230 gift card, which cost only €200,–. If we pay the balance in cash, we will have only paid €230,64. The non-Voyageur Black Friday rate is currently showing at ~€330,–

      • Dominic Barrington says:

Because you can’t use the gift cards on the Accor website?

        • Rob says:

In theory, as per the T&C, you can pre-pay online and then demand the hotel refunds your money at check-out and then recharges you via gift cards. Good look with that, in my opinion.

  • Timbo2 says:

I am assuming that these are all gone now as I keep getting put back to the original page when I click on gift cards and no option to purchase them.
