Some European sale inspiration

The Canopy By Hilton Paris Trocadero hotel is included in the sale and would make a great destination for a weekend break. Rhys visited in July this year, and you can read his review here.

Of course there are many Hilton hotels to choose from in Paris, and Rob will be visiting another later this month. Look out for his review of the very well located Maison Astor Paris, Curio Collection by Hilton coming soon.

The Morrison Dublin

Also close to home, you could spend a weekend in Dublin at the first hotel in Ireland to become a Curio Collection by Hilton property (picture above).

The five star The Morrison Dublin, Curio Collection by Hilton is a city centre boutique hotel on the banks of the Liffey, and has kept its rock ‘n roll vibe alongside its transformation into a Hilton property.

Sticking with Europe, albeit slightly further afield, there are five Hilton hotels in Iceland which makes a superb destination for a long weekend from the UK.

Pictured above is the lobby bar of the Reykjavik Konsulat Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton. You can see Rob’s review of the hotel from his trip to Iceland this year here. For further inspiration, have a look at Conny’s review of what to do on a short break in Iceland. As well as two Curio properties there are also SLH, Canopy and Hilton-branded hotels to choose from.

London hotels are also included in the sale

If you fancy a city break in London, you will find a location to suit at one of Hilton’s 46 London properties. This is the view from a room at the The Trafalgar St James Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton reviewed here by Rhys at the end of last year.

Another good location is the Hilton London Bankside which Rhys reviewed in March this year.

Rhys has now reviewed all but one of the London ‘Curio Collection’ properties. A review of Lincoln Plaza in Canary Wharf, the seventh Curio Collection hotel in London, is coming soon. As well as The Trafalgar, his other Curio reviews in London include:

Hilton Dubai

As well as Europe, the Middle East and Africa are included in the sale.

For increased chances of good weather you could try the new Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah above, a luxury beachside resort located on Palm West Beach, with views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai Marina skyline.

Get more value from your stay with a Hilton Honors Debit Card

In September, we saw the launch of two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fees available.

You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Hilton Honors Plus Debit Card and Silver status with the Hilton Honors Debit Card.

Remember that Gold status comes with free breakfast for two on every stay (hotels in the US offer a food and beverage credit instead).

Hilton Honors Plus Debit Card

With either of these cards you earn Hilton Honors points for everyday spend, and boosted points levels when you spend abroad at Hilton properties.

Combine your Hilton Honors Gold card with your winter sale booking and your status benefits could get you a complimentary breakfast every day, a room upgrade and extra points.

We reviewed the Hilton Honors Plus Debit Card here and the Hilton Honors Debit Card here.

Even better …. there is a sign-up bonus of 10,000 Hilton Honors points on the Plus card and 2,500 points on the standard card. T&C apply.

You can apply for either card here.

Conclusion

The Hilton winter sale is now live and offers savings across a wide range of hotels and resorts in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

  • Matt says:

I am looking at Iceland for 3 nights in Jan. It was 96000 ISK before the sale, and now 15% off with the sale, its 96000 ISK. Deal. I think not.

    • Rob says:

Review of the EDITION coming next week, hopefully, as Rhys was there last week. He was really keen but whether it justifies the premium over the Konsulat, two minutes away, is another question.
