Marriott Bonvoy is bringing its ‘Gourmet Odyssey’ programme back to London, with a six course extravaganza on Saturday 15th February.

It is decent value at 40,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for two people.

The price has gone up from the 30,000 points charged for the November event but this one is with champagne pairings rather than wine pairings. (There is a LOT of alcohol involved in this event, be aware!)

You can redeem via ‘Marriott Moments’ here.

Marriott Gourmet Odyssey

I attended the Gourmet Odyssey in November, as did a number of other readers. It was a genuinely fun day and you couldn’t argue with the value. I won’t be attending this one as its over half term and we are likely to be away, but it is worth a look.

Experience London’s culinary highlights with an unforgettable six-course lunch. You and a guest will enjoy a welcome reception at Lanes of London, inside Marriott Park Lane Hotel, before starting your gastronomic journey.

You will then make your way to three of London’s top restaurants celebrated for both their delectable menus as well as their sustainable practices: Apricity, Cavita, and Jikoni. Enjoy expertly matched champagne pairings by Champagne Lallier throughout this Gourmet Odyssey.

Apricity was awarded a Green Michelin-star for their sustainable, ultra-low waste ethos. The restaurant uses produce at the height of season from small-scale farmers alongside locally foraged ingredients to create a captivating, innovative cuisine.

Cavita is a modern Mexican restaurant deeply committed to sustainable food production, fair trade practices and better food choices. Cavita uses their principled approach to cooking to produce food with vibrant flavours, colours, and textures.

Jkioni’s menus are inspired by immigrant cuisine and the rich, shared flavours and cultures across parts of South Asia & the Far East, the Middle East, East Africa and Britain. The restaurant became the first carbon neutral independent restaurant in the UK and has been powered by solar power, wind power, and carbon neutral green energy.

Experience includes:

  • Saturday 15 February 2025
    • Welcome reception at the hotel Marriott Park Lane Hotel
    • Six-course dinner with champagne pairings for two (2) across three different restaurants — Apricity, Cavita, and Jikoni

No children under 18 are allowed and no transport or accommodation is included.

You can book for 40,000 Bonvoy points for two people here. There were 17 pairs of tickets available at 3pm on Tuesday.

Are these kinds of events typically flexible to those with special dietary needs? Other half is gluten intolerant.

    • Rob says:

In theory yes (see T&C) BUT you are putting them to a lot of inconvenience because it is a set menu.

      • Ken says:

It’s really not a lot of inconvenience as long as you notify them in advance.

Not much gluten used at Cavita certainly or Jikoni (by their menu).

        It’s for at least 40 people, there will be vegetarian’s & coeliac’s.

What is rude is to rock up on the day & then say you can’t eat this that or the other.

      • Lumma says:

I used to run a few fine fine dining restaurants, it’s not really a problem adapting to dietary needs (or even preferences) as long as there’s advance notice. Dairy allergies usually requiring the most changes due to chefs loving milk, butter, cheese and cream. Even that isn’t too bad, if there’s a permanent vegan option as they can often just add the meat or fish to the vegan dish.

If you really want to incur the wrath of a chef, it’s when you spring an allergy on them when the guests sit down for dinner

“Dietary restrictions will be catered for if submitted in advance.”

  • MD says:

Good to see you’ve made it to Bluesky.

  • Tony says:

What is the cancellation policy on these events?

  • Nick says:

    Sold Out

  • Neil Patel says:

Thank you, managed to bag one of them. Anyone have any recommendations to stay the Saturday night? Was thinking of booking a room at the Marriott Park Lane but not sure it is worth it at £400 a night.

    • Neil says:

Yeah I was thinking that. Andaz Liverpool Street looks good as the Hyatt offer is pretty generous.

I went to a gig recently in the Marriott suite.. I’m guessing lots of HfPers were there, it was the dullest crowd to share the box with to be honest… I reframed from bidding for one of these based in that experience to be honest. Perhaps this might attract like minded people who are into the occasion… Be interesting to hear feedback.

    • Rob says:

Sounds like the Marriott suite had exactly the sort of people you would expect to be in it – people who like the musician but are not the sort of people to bounce up and down on the stadium floor, and quite like the idea of being able to nip to the loo easily!

      • babyg_wc says:

its not about bouncing up and down…. but typically people who go to concerts are there for the performers… vs points people in the suite who are clearly there for the suite experience, free food and free booze, one guy feel asleep and others were bored and on their phones, all totally killing any kind of vibe…

    • degsy says:

Ooh, the sound of the gauntlet being thrown! This gigs needs the emphasis to be on the fizz rather than the food.

  • RYX says:

Does anyone know whether it’s possible to subscribe to some sort of mailing list with Bonvoy Moments to be notified of new events being released?
