Accor Live Limitless has launched a new ‘double and triple points’ promotion for stays in selected European and North African countries, including the UK.

You can register here.

You need to book by 27th April for stays between 31st March and 8th June.

As usual with Accor offers, existing bookings made before registration won’t count so you will need to cancel and rebook any upcoming stays to earn the bonus. You should obviously check the cancellation terms and the current selling price before you do this.

What are double or triple Accor Live Limitless points worth?

Our article on what we think Accor Live Limitless points are worth is here.

1 point is worth 2 Eurocents off your next booking, although you need to redeem in chunks of 1,000 points.

The standard earn rate at most brands is 2.5 points per €1.

Double base points means 5 points per €1. This means 10 Eurocents of free stays for every €1 you spend, pre-tax, which is a decent return. Anyone with elite status will earn even more.

Triple base points means 7.5 points per €1. This means 15 Eurocents of free stays for every €1 you spend, pre-tax, which is excellent. Again, anyone with elite status will earn even more.

You can also transfer your Accor Live Limitless points to Avios although you lose value compared to using them for a discount on a future stay.

Ensure you transfer into Iberia Plus, where the rate to Avios is 1:1, rather than British Airways Executive Club or Qatar Airways Privilege Club, where the rate is 2:1. You can move your Avios from Iberia Plus into your BA account via ‘Combine My Avios’ – instructions here.

Don’t forget to link your Accor account to your Qatar Airways Privilege Club account

You can now earn Avios ON TOP of Accor Live Limitless points. It’s an easy win with no downside.

You earn 1 Avios for every €1, before taxes, you spend at any Accor Live Limitless hotel.

You will need a Qatar Airways Privilege Club account to do this. You can move the Avios across to British Airways Executive Club by linking your Qatar Airways and BA accounts following the instructions here.

To link your Accor Live Limitless and Qatar Airways accounts, go to this page of the Accor website.

You do NOT need to do this before booking a stay but you must do it before you check in. Once done, you can sit back and forget about it – all future Accor stays will earn you Avios automatically.

Don’t forget to register before booking

You can find out more about the Accor double points offer, and register, here.

PS. As I found recently, if you have an issue with an Accor promotion you need to be able to quote the promo reference number. This one is ‘020566’.

  • John Verrall says:

How long do Avios with Qatar last before they expire through inactivity compared to BA?

    • Inman says:

They don’t expire as long as there’s a transaction once in 36 months.

  • jj says:

Slightly amusing to show the Sofitel T5 as the illustration for this offer, as I can’t imagine many UK-based guests would ever stay there for more than one night.

  • Tony1 says:

When are Accor bringing back the “normal” points promotions ?

    • Tom says:

Accor seem to be putting the emphasis on longer stays. Makes sense since nightly turnover of rooms incurs a lot of extra staff costs.

Also seems to be an emphasis on the high-end properties although of course the UK doesn’t have many of those anyway (one Raffles, three Sofitels, two Pullmans, one Fairmont) that I know of.

  • Tom says:

Rob, does “stay by June 8th” mean check-in by then or check-out by then?

    • Rob says:

Check out, but may be pro-rata on stays which overlap – check the small print. Not sure what the Accor policy is.

      • Tom says:

OK, thanks, to be safe I booked 5 days with a check-out of June 8th.

In the past I have found Accor to be pedantic about the small print, and takes the view that the customer is definitely not always right 🙁
