ENDS THU: Win 10,000 Avios for answering five quick questions in a new HfP competition

A couple of weeks ago, a good friend of HfP reached out with a request — it was looking for insights from our well-informed (and, let’s be honest, opinionated!) readers to help shape some future products.

To help them, we’ve put together a short survey for HfP readers — just five quick questions. However, you only have two days to get involved – the survey closes at midnight on Thursday.

As a thank you for your time, everyone who completes it will be entered into a prize draw to win 10,000 Avios.

Win 10,000 Avios

Your responses will be shared with our partner but rest assured, they’ll be fully anonymised. Your email address will only be used by HfP to contact the winner — nothing else.

How to complete the survey

Click here to start the survey.

The survey consists of five quick questions about credit card and debit card usage, all of which are multiple choice. We estimate it will take no more than two minutes to complete and most should be able to do it far quicker.

You can complete the survey on a mobile or desktop device.

The survey is only open to UK residents.

How to win 10,000 Avios

If you choose to give your email address on the final page, you will be entered into a draw to win one prize of 10,000 Avios.

The winner will be selected at random after the survey closes on Thursday 3rd April. The winner will need a UK-based British Airways Club account to receive their prize. The email address on the British Airways account must match the email address used to complete the survey. Entries are limited to one per person.

The small print: This survey is NOT connected to British Airways or IAG Loyalty in any way. We are simply using Avios as a prize because we know it is attractive to our readership.

Here’s the link to the survey. Don’t delay – the survey closes at midnight on Thursday 3rd April.

Thank you for your help.

10,000 nTPs would be a bit more of an incentive…worth their weight in sustainable aviation fuel.

Have entered nonetheless. Current credit and debit cards outside of Amex Plat not a great fit for my needs.

  • Nate1309 says:

Great competition. Thanks for sharing. I wouldn’t consider a debit card linked to my current account at all though. Credit cards give a safety bumper in a world of ever increasing fraud.

    • tootsci says:

True but lots of people have a secondary current account these days? I have a Chase in addition to my main with a high st bank that I was using for overseas spend and some cashback for when Amex/credit cards not accepted. Now that Chase are slashing cashback I am looking for an alternative. If the co-brand debit card could be linked to an account from Chase or another of the fintech banks then I’d have no problem with that as I’d just ‘top-up’ the underlying current account as needed. Feels a lot safer than e.g. Curve

      • John says:

My Chase is empty unless I want to spend on the debit card. I have linked it to Curve and have it as the active card. Any fraudulent transactions will be declined.

Alternatively when my curve cash balance is low I have curve cash as the active card, possibly safer as an offline transaction could still be approved on Chase sending it into unauthorised overdraft.

Possibly poor programming from Curve, but I have noticed that when transactions are submitted later to the authorisation, and Curve cash is the active card, Curve seems to pay the transaction but only charges your curve cash the authorised amount… but refunds to curve cash are also dodgy

  • Ian says:

Interestingly, Revolut is currently surveying some account holders about their views on Rev Points – what they like about them, whether you’d be interested in subscription plans and whether you’d pay to purchase them.

  • Paul says:

I would imagine it’s either easyJet or a non uk airline looking at taking advantage of BAs decision to screw its members.

  • Nick P says:

    Missing Finnair from survey

    • Rob says:

Not really. Why would anyone want an Avios-earning Finnair card in the UK? Although oddly I suspect they can do it – I know Qatar is not blocked from launching a UK card.

      • Barrel for Scraping says:

An Iberia card would be great as every 10 Avios earned would get you 1 TP up to 30% of what you need

        • LittleNick says:

So in theory if this card were to exist let’s say it’s £1 spend = 1 avios
So £10 spend = 1TP. £25k spend = 2500 TP. Potentially slightly better than BA if that were the case

        • Lady London says:

+1 think BA would get that blocked within IAG so far as a UK launch ia concerned

  • JoeCrystal says:

Did the survey. I was a little disappointed not seeing GHA in the list of loyalty schemes (Maybe Other box to fill as well would be handy!). I mean, I had done surveys with GHA direct where the options offered also mention co-branded credit cards.
