Important dates for your diary – offers about to close which you shouldn’t miss

The aim of this feature is to summarise flight, hotel and points offers that are ending soon.  Everything listed below has been covered on HfP in recent weeks, but years of experience of running offers for HfP readers has made it very clear that a large proportion like to leave things to the last minute ….

Credit and debit card offers

Until 27th May 2025, the sign-up bonus on ‘free for a year’ American Express Preferred Rewards Gold is increased to 30,000 Membership Rewards points. This converts into 30,000 Avios. Our full article is here. Click here to apply.

Until 27th May 2025, the sign-up bonus on The Platinum Card from American Express is increased to 80,000 Membership Rewards points. This converts into 80,000 Avios! The spend requirement is changed to £10,000 in six months for this offer. Our full article is here. Click here to apply.

You qualify for the 80,000 points bonus on The Platinum Card even if you have a British Airways American Express card.

Hotel promotions and ‘buy points’ offers

Here are registration links for the current hotel promotions from the major chains:

• HG One Rewards – earn either (you choose) 2,000 bonus points for every two nights or 8,000 bonus points for every four nights you stay between 20th May and 31st August – register here

• FROM 1st JUNE: Hilton Honors – earn 1,000 bonus points per stay between 1st June and 15th August 2025 – register here

The following hotel ‘buy points’ offers are currently running:

• Hilton Honors – most (not all) members will get a 100% bonus at present, although some people may see a discount offer instead – the offer runs to 29th May – click here to buy

• Marriott Bonvoy – Marriott is offering a 30% to 50% bonus (varies by individual) when you buy Bonvoy points by 16th July – click here to buy
