  Just had a look at the Hoxton, and doesn’t seem to actually be bookable yet via ALL – either on the web or app; showing no availability to at least the end of the year, yet it’s bookable via booking dot com etc

  I had cheap seats at the back of Wembley, and someone offered me £700 for each one, so £1,000 for VIP does sound a bargain.

  IHG have a targeted 40k for every 4 nights (up to 80k) for stay by the 16 Jan 26.

        I suspect that the IHG base isn’t interested in all-inclusives and the Iberostar is underperforming.

        Remember that the reason the deal was done is that Iberostar was struggling to fill its hotels by itself (at least at the rates they wanted) and IHG will have dangled 100m+ IHG One Rewards members at them to persuade them to sign up.

        It’s possible Iberostar is now stuck paying fees to IHG without the promised improvement in rates or occupancy OR IHG has guaranteed Iberostar certain rates / occupancy and needs to fill the rooms.

  I was one of the winning bidders for the auction Hilton did for Wembley tickets to Oasis at Wembley and it also ended at 600k points.
  Was fearing a Dua Lipa style 100k bunch of packages would pop up prior to the event.

  I popped in to the Edinburgh Hoxton last week and it was very busy. There is still work ongoing across the road in what was the old Hilton Grosvenor Annex, however the main hotel obviously had an issue with the drains that day as there was a big truck outside with a pump hose leading inside and the aroma was…. pungent.
  A great addition to Edinburgh’s growing hotel options.

  I’m sitting on around 1.1m Hilton points. Really need to do something about that. Was thinking a nice AI but with Diamond membership, hotels with a good lounge offering kinda covers what I need. Playa Resorts getting sold to Hyatt also scuppered the AI plans.

  Ah, it sounds like the Hilton team are getting wiser to the price of straight ‘redeem’ items, previously there has been out sized value here vs auction items.
