    Doing open Jaw and have already booked outbound so cannot check companion availability.
    Can some kind person please check 2pax business direct GIG-LHR in Dec24?

    so its possible to book the outbound with companion voucher and then add the inbound leg at a later date and use the same companion voucher again?

    That’s the beauty of a reward booking, fully flexible with a few fees. Change from one way to a return. I haven’t done this for a while but in the past if you couldn’t complete the changes online the fees where waived.

    Direct GIG to LHR, x2 business available on December the 5th which is the latest day bookable.

    Also, I phoned up the Change section of the Exec Club line and got them to refund half avios (using Companion Voucher) after I had booked this return separately from outbound leg MAD-SCL (on Iberia).
    Did not need an amex card to pay fees.
    Done with no problems.

    Which fees are you talking about? If you’ve booked the return with a different card than Amex and BA have now made a note that it’s the other half of a 241 booking, be aware that a reader had major issues with this a while back when BA realised what he had done and made him pay the extra avios for the whole booking.
