With a companion voucher, you’re looking at an extra 18-20,000 Avios in each direction for you and your partner. Valuing Avios at 1p, that’s about £100 each, in each direction. In my view, you’d be mad not to take it.
I’ve never flown in the new Club Suite, but I have walked through that cabin on the way to First. Club Suite looks very pleasant, but it isn’t a patch on First. This is why I’d go First:
– Much better ground experience – the First Wing and, particularly, the Concorde Room are a massive step up from the Club check-in desks and lounge.
– Much smaller cabin (normally just 8 seats) with very personal service.
– On most aircraft, the opportunity to ‘buddy-dine’, where your seat turns into a dinner table for two.
– Food of genuinely restaurant quality both in the air and on the ground.
– Considerably more spacious seat.
– First off the aircraft to reduce any delays at immigration.
