Only consequential costs, I missed onward travel and overstayed parking at final destination.
I am not particularly too aggrieved, I accept these things happen. I was more curious as to the position when a plane is delayed for this reason. I don’t exactly know how airlines manage this kind of risk (delays, cancellations or diversions caused by passenger illness), do they insure against it?
I forgot to add it landed 2hr 10 mins late + an unnecessary 25-30mins sitting on the ground because of the gate issue so total 2hr 40 or so
