Historically Club rooms (IIRC) didn’t book into Classic, because these are shocking rooms.

Let’s look at two options here:

1-you can add club access for €150 IIRC at check-in, so it may be worth rebooking into a room category you want without the lounge and adding it later

2-I assumed you knew this, but if you book LeG via Emyr Thomas, our hotel partner, you get free club lounge access. Your booking goes through at Best Flexible Rate, whatever that is.

Cancelling and doing 2) via Emyr may be your best bet if the numbers add up.

Full list of Emyr benefits:
Upgrade at time of booking from Cosy to Classic room. Upgrade on arrival subject to availability for other categories and attributes.
Daily Buffet breakfast for two guests per bedroom, in private dining room of Club Lounge
Daily access to the Club Lounge (valued at 150EUR per day)
VIP welcome amenities and letter
Early check-in/late check-out subject to availability
25% discount on rack rate suite from Ambassador Suite upon availability
Complimentary Wi-Fi

Hi Rob

Thank you for the reply.

Yes, I would normally book with Emyr but I had a AMB 241 that I needed to use on this occasion as it was running out.

Just out of interest however, what was the exact policy on upgrades, in your experience, in the old category system? I ask as I am being told what I outlined above has always been the policy.
