Within the city centre, the HGI at Brindley Place is good – definitely avoid the Hampton on Broad St which really isn’t very nice (not sure what the Jewellery Qtr one is like).
From the other chains, for IHG agree with Staybridge Suites which is v. nice, and HIX on Holliday St is ok. For Marriott, then probably the AC which is central.
