This is not about IT, this is a catastrophic failure to recruit sufficient staff to meet the needs of the operation they have planned to deliver. In short piss poor operational management!
The IT debacle is a long term strategic failure of management.
Covid plays a part given the all time record number of infections, in short piss poor governance at National level.
Yesterday there were scenes of utter mayhem at Manchester airport and Dover was gridlocked for hours. My daughters 8am sailing saw her sail at 1pm.
The U.K. is again facing 1970’s style terminal decline through a mixture of governmental policy, incompetence and ideology. This when combined with dire corporate leadership is a long term problem and there is currently no sign of a turnaround. Indeed no sign of a plan to turnaround.
