Just for clarity …. no posts are “lost and forgotten”. Unless there is a specific policy reason to delete them, they are approved. Every ‘pending’ post is dealt with every time we go into the system.
Also worth clarifying that NFH is talking about comments on the main site and not on the forum. There is now zero chance of a forum post being blocked UNLESS you are quoting someone else’s post. A very small % of posts which start with a quote are being popped into ‘pending’ and we have no idea why, but we do release them when we see them.
A more annoying issue for us is that we can clearly see in the back-end system when there are pending comments but NOT when there are pending forum replies. We need to proactively look for pending forum replies and it often doesn’t get done for a while.
