As long as you have the HHA, the avios will be taken pro-rata from each member. My OH wouldn’t notice, he hasn’t even noticed most of the bookings I’ve made for us for next year!
I think you may only be able to book flights for people in your HHA or on your Friends and Family list, and this will immediately show in their account. I’ve only ever made bookings for people in these categories though, so I’m not 100% sure.
