I did the switch and joined Barclays premier with the paid avios monthly fee . Switch went through on thur , £175 offer posted in my account today

When checking avios earned on the Barclays app it’s showing 25k avios bonus reward (not credited yet as u have to wait 4 months but it’s showing)

I would say you get both
