I’m a bit :-/ on “upgrade” to SUV as well.

Ordinary saloon cars of the Camry/Elantra type from Avis US have always been fine. Stood and banged on the desk (*asked politely) for my upgrade last time and got a Jeep SUV that was absolutely vile. Wasn’t that they gave me a broken one – it was almost brand new – just a horrible car.
