If you have the Avios Plus card, when you join Avios Rewards, you get a £5 rebate, so it’ll only cost you £7pm. So you’re effectively paying £84pa for 18k avios, plus an upgrade voucher, so it’s really good value. Or, if you choose the 7k avios instead, it’s 25k avios for £84, which is still pretty good, but I am able to use the vouchers, so I choose that.
I downgraded my Plus card to the free card, so I’m no longer getting the £5 rebate, but I still have avios rewards for £12pm, and I find it decent value.
