@FH2 – in theory yes. But insurance must be live at the time of booking – you can’t retrospectively buy it when there’s a problem!
IMHO you’d have to be an idiot to travel without insurance. Ever bought a full-fare economy (Y) ticket?? Ask someone to Kick you in the nether-regions for an idea of how that feels 😉
