Have to say I disagree with the sentiment here. Off the back of this thread, I booked the Presidential suite for Easter Monday night, non-refundable rate. I had to change plans and the hotel have bent over backwards to help, switching dates, number of people and even keeping the rate very low (less than £115 a night for 3 people in a upper category room including breakfast).

I’m sure half of the battle is how you express it – and make someone willing to help.
