I’d be intrigued by that as well. I suspect some people will be offered a status above Gold too, likely based on number of nights/stays and total spend plus other internal scores including number of years at Diamond status perhaps.
I also have SkyTeam Elite Plus via Flying Blue so not necessarily worth it for me, but worth passing on in case it suits someone.
