Out to Milan and back on Ryanair is probanly the cheapest way to do it, looks like you can do the trip for under £100. From the NW it’s a bit more inconvenient, maybe a ryanair return and an internal flight would box it off over a weekend. I’m considering if it’s worth it, bit busy in work this year and I I’ve booked the big summer trip on Finnair.
Have booked
Ryanair MAN-CIA
Hotel Rome for the night
ITA FCO-LIN
Hotel 2 nights in Milan
Ryanair BGY-MAN
Hotels on points. Flight cost £100 total.
Worst part of the itinerary is getting from Milan to BGY.
It will be worth it just for the extra baggage allowance it gives, even on one skyteam flight a year.
Did a flight with Saudia in Nov/Dec and credited to ITA but that did not extend my status, hence the quick Jan trip. It will be an adventure as having never flown with Ryanair before
