I recently stayed at IC Grand in Gangnam (there were two ICs but Coex is under refurbishment). I was upgraded to junior suite from base room (cash booking as there was a promo 3 for 2 nights), breakfast was really good and they had special menu items for Diamonds. It’s connected to Coex mall where there are plenty restaurants.

However, I find the area far from other places. It can take nearly an hour to get to Myeongdong. In general
the distances are huge as neighbourhoods are spread out and the slow trains don’t help. Totally opposite to Tokyo.
