I know you have booked the ShangriLa (which looks lovely btw) but to add to the info in this thread for others we’ve just completed a great stay over Christmas at the Anantara Riverside. While on the opposite side of the river it has a regular free hotel ferry that runs right to the landing by the ShangriLa (and BTS station). There’s another ferry that goes to the IconSiam mall.
Lovely kid friendly pool resort area and the Trader Vics tiki bar would also be entertaining for children.
Good upgrades possible with GHA status (via Titanium Business Traveller offer) and we also got a chunk off via Discovery Dollars purchased in recent sale.
