You don’t need to be concerned (yet).

You have a PNR, yes?

Very few of the call centre staff appear able to handle upgrade voucher bookings so it may well just be your agent was unsure what to do. Did they quote the correct fees?

I believe there is still the issue though that your credit card cvv will fall off after a week so they will not be able to charge you without refreshing it. So if you get a call from BA about that then feel free to give them all your personal details and credit card information! Life is too short to call back..L

If it were me, I would give it a few more days and then on a quiet day when there is no travel disruption, give them a call and explain that you were told a few days and it has been much longer. Make sure you choose the correct option for changing a booking with an upgrade voucher.

If you get a competent agent then they will have a look at the booking and check that all is well and then resend it to ticketing.

The last time I used upgrade vouchers I called to add on the domestic led and could tell the agent was clueless. They managed to add on the legs but the ticket was not issued. Luckily (!) BA cancelled the domestic connection I had chosen. I had to call to choose a new one and asked the competent agent to see what the issue was. Other than charging me 50p per leg that should not have been charged nothing was up but the new agent changed my flights and re-sent it to ticketing and this time it was ticketed within 24 hours.

On no account should you leave it until check in as the airport will not be able to help you. So if it has not been ticketed a week before your journey, start to panic and be relentless about chasing.
