What is going to happen with these missed flights when TPs are earned by spending and not flying? How do you know how much each leg of a flight is worth exactly?
You can see that each leg of a flight already has a currency value if you look at the earned Avios in your statement. It’s reasonable to assume that the same calculation methods will apply to TPs post-April Fool’s Day.
I think it’s reasonable to assume BA haven’t thought about it fully, or, if they have, they will mess up the IT implementation.
AA do this pro-rated, each sector proportional to the fare I believe.
