Just tried to book a redemption with a BA AMEX 2-4-1 voucher.
Website is insisting that voucher holder must pay with their AMEX.
Has something changed? I thought any AMEX would do

When renewing my BAPP was told on chat the 2-4-1 voucher had to be paid for with the BAPP.
Did you try entering the non BA card details? Or does it not give you the option?
I recall something similar back in March 2022 and it defaulting to my BAPP but as that is my only Amex I just went with it. Haven’t tried using someone else’s Amex for a while now.
Can you give a bit more detail about what you’ve tried and what did and didn’t work? Is this just some wording on the payment page that says it needs to be the same card? Or does it actually refuse payment with another card?
I’ve only ever redeemed 241s for open jaw flights on the phone. Once the agent did say it had to be my BAPP but I pressed the issue and gave my husband’s card details and it went through fine.
I issued a 241 ticket last week over the phone with another Amex card without issues (we don’t have a BA right now). It was an open jaw using an old style voucher.
Red Herring from the OP it seems. As always put any amex details in, it will work regardless of what any of the verbiage says.
SteveJ – you are correct – but the verbiage on the website is so misleading.
2-4-1 is in my name but current AMEX is in the wife’s name.
Payment page automatically defaults to me as the person paying and asks for my AMEX details.
No choice to change the name on the card paying as its pre-filled.
I entered the wife’s card details anyway and it all went through so all is good.
