Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club 2 for 1 BA Companian Voucher x 2 [4 people together]

  • 70 posts

    Hi,
I am new to the companion vouchers, we received 1 last year & 1 this year.
I thought we could use both together for a family of 4, we are all on the family list in our executive club.
But Iv’e seen an article here that says you cant do that. They were both earned by 1 of the parents though rather than 1 each.

    Is that true?

To be fair, there is no availability at the moment anyway as ideally we want Lon – Bkk or Lon – Singapore in CW so it may be that we have to wait for our next one to hit around June/July time & book for the year after.
I guess the other option would be 2 in CW and pay for 2 in economy and share them as such.

    Any tips appreciated.
    Thanx

Unfortunately you can’t use both vouchers if they were both earned by the same person, as the person that earned it must be one of the 2 people on that booking.

The 2nd parent could get their own BAPP and earn their own 241 voucher, then you each could have one of the kids as your companion.

You can use them on one booking as long as they are both the old style, or both the new. You can’t mix and match one old and one new.

I think BA aren’t flying to BKK atm though? SIN you would need to be on the ball at midnight most of the time, though you do sometimes see CW on random dates. With the new vouchers, though, you should have access to the “extra” availability these offer.

    From this HfP article:

“Can I combine multiple vouchers in one booking?
    For four people:
If you have two vouchers to use, issued to the same person, they can be used together for the BA Amex cardholder and three other people. This is what we do for our family of four. This situation would occur if you triggered your voucher for the next card year before you had used the voucher from the previous year.

IMPORTANT: For technical reasons, it is impossible to combine vouchers issued before 1st September 2021 with vouchers issued afterwards. If you are in this position you will not be able to use two vouchers together to redeem for a group of four people.”

Thanx all. I was hoping there was a work around.
It won’t be possible for us to get another Amex card I tried the other day & got declined ;(
hmmm tricky, I think we will just have to wait till we get another new style 2for1 then.
I would just like it to be May 2024 but we won’t qualify till about July23 for a voucher as our year resets in May. So that would rule out Singapore as it wouldn’t be 355 ahead it would be about 300.

Now to use the old style 2for1 on a sneaky trip away for myself & the other half then 😉

    Cheers

There is supposed to be an announcement soon about BA restarting Lon – Bkk route for Summer. Watch this space.
