Hi I recently cancelled an Avios reward flight saver flight and subsequently got an email to confirm they are processing the request but it will take 4 weeks! I recall doing this before and the Avios were refunded as soon as I cancelled. Are they doing everything manually??!
I remember asking the same question. My Avios took about 3 days, the cash a week. The voucher is still nowhere to be seen but I have until May to apply to an existing booking so I am not in a rush myself. A data point of one suggests it’s the voucher that takes the time —- maybe it involves Amex.
