Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club £400 more to book a solo BA holiday!?!?

I think that’s a great idea, but personally wouldn’t want to share a room (I’m a really light sleeper and get up a lot so I wouldn’t subject someone I didn’t know well to that for starters!) So the pricing issue would still be there. There are certainly places I’d like to see that my OH is distinctly lukewarm about, lol.

I have more complex calculations on my note pad than Alan Turing did when solving the Enigma Code!

The BA Holiday is cheaper because it only included flights at some god awful times of the day and when selecting more reasonable ones the price exceeded the cost of booking the flight and hotel separately.

So I’d much rather have the flexibility of a separately booked flight and the ability to use the same day change feature and a refundable hotel I can rebook if the price goes down than the extra 80 TPs.

You could always ask BA to honour the advertised price and then ask who you’ll be sharing with! 😉

Thinking aloud, and running with the HfP Dating idea, we could run a thread here for travel companions wanted. I’m relationshipped up, but often can’t travel with my +1, and I dislike entirely solo travel.

I think it works in principle but not if the room is one of those talked about on daily thread where the bathroom door/shower cubicle is frosted. I can assure you would not want to see me starkers. Ruin your entire holiday.

My one-and-only BA holiday was about £2k flight + car when flight only (same times/airlines) was >£4k. This stuff is highly route and timing dependent.

So after booking separately on Wednesday, yesterday the hotel announced a sale so a quick cancel and rebook saved me € 80.
