Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club £4k of BA evouchers to use by Sep – can I redeem them for a BA Holiday?

  • 50 posts

As title says..worried that the evouchers given due to cancellations throughout Covid are due to expire in September. Unlikely to be able to use them for flights beforehand so was wondering if it’s still possible to apply them to a BA holiday?

    Thanks

if these are for cash only bookings yes. if they contain avios or a 2-4-1 voucher then no,

Remember September is a fly by deadline not a book by,

They are from a cash booking so you’re saying I can apply them to BA holidays?

If so, is there specific instructions to do so?

    Thanks!

think you have to email them. Hopefully someone else will come along with the email address, if not you will defo find the answer if you spend time looking in the forum as this question has been asked many times over the last 2 years.

BAH are now refunding eVouchers upon receipt. Essentially no you can’t apply an eVoucher to a BAH anymore, from recent feedback. A refund is probably in your interest unless you acquired your eVouchers cheaply via the x2 Avios promotion some time ago.

    Email is baholidays@ba.com
I asked yesterday if 3 BA e-vouchers could be applied to a holiday cost. I got an auto-response so can’t advise yet as to outcome. For clarity these are vouchers which contained double value Avios and cash. I’ve read conflicting outcomes in this situation so thought give it a go and see.

In terms of method I emailed saying I have BA holiday booking ABCDEF and would like to apply vouchers 125-123456 etc to reduce balance owed.

I believe @Paul B is correct and this won’t work as would best suit me.

How do I know if my evouchers are able to be refunded for cash? And how do I go about initiating that? Thanks!

You need to actually book a holiday and pay for it and BA will then refund the vouchers whereas previously they applied them to reducing the balance.

I had £600ish voucher that was refunded last week. Granted the cash has not hit my card yet but its on its way. Was one of the 2p per avios one that I got cancelling way back under BWC.

Third one I have had refunded. Call and ask. YMMV of course.

Say if I booked a flight with my vouchers and cash then cancelled within my 24 hour period. Do I get back a voucher or will they refund it all to the payment method I used …

Response from BA Holidays. Seems reasonable to me, loss of double Avios but that was a chancers move anyway.

Just to let you know the process has changed now and your voucher(s) are now refunded to your original form of payment used to pay for your original booking and no deduction made on your BA Holidays booking.

Please confirm you are happy for us to go ahead and we will action this for you.

Thanks for the update, I think we pretty much know the BAH option is closed, unless you wish for a refund of course. That’s great they gave the option to proceed or hold on to your eVouchers as they are, as other reports suggest they were simply being refunded upon receipt by BAH.
