Who to go to? Applied a £500 popup to my card a week ago. BA Prepaid app took me to my debit card bank app to approve the transaction. I approved it. The money left my bank account: but it never reached my BA Prepaid account and sits in Pending. My Bank says it’s not their problem because they approved the transaction. BA Prepaid are silent. My debit card is Mastercard. Somebody has the £500 but who to poke? I expected an unreconciled transaction to auto reverse but that looks like a pipe-dream. Any pointers please. Naturally BA Prepaid will be cancelled and binned after this as this is the first time ever for me to get in a pickle with e-money.
The prepaid card is a financial product, so make a written complaint. Find the complaints process in the T&Cs and follow it; this will allow you to progress to the ombudsman, at which point you will get your money.
