I’ve booked a BA short haul redemption from LHR via AA using a small amount of old AAdvantage points that I had and were expiring soon. The booking has my AAdvantge number attached (with no status) but I am BA gold so would prefer this to be attached to the booking, if only for lounge access at LHR and ability to get exit row seating. I can’t find a way to get the FF number on the ticket changed to my BA number (and I’ve tried the old back way using the Finnair site).
Is there another way to get the ticket associated with my BA account? If not, and I turn up at the lounge with my status showing on BA app (but not boarding pass), will I be allowed in? And plus guest?

If you could bear to call AA they could definitely do this for you. I seem to remember they are one of the airlines that can’t have two FF numbers associated with the booking (one to pay for the miles being used and the other for status). In which case they would have to remove your AA number first, but I may be wrong.
It seems worth doing this to be able to book seats. Have they already given you your BA booking reference, which is of course different to the AA one?
