Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Adding a booking but cannot see on my account

  • 110 posts

We booked 3 RFS tickets for next summer back in August. We have now picked off the “last seat” for a friend of my daughter.

Can I as heck see it when I log into my account.

If I type in the booking reference & her surname I can get to it.

But it won’t allow me to link as I am not on the booking

    Any thoughts?

    TIA

I don’t understand what you are trying to do.

Do you have two separate bookings, one for three and one for your daughter’s friend? If so, you cannot link them – they are separate bookings.

You can phone up BA and they might claim to link them but this basically achieves nothing and they will remain separate forevermore.

If you are gold you can call up and do “To complete party (TCP) and have them manually put in a seat next to you. But as @Froggee says, doesn’t achieve anything else and the booking won’t appear in your account

You might have made the booking but as you aren’t on it it won’t appear on your account but hers (the points deduction will of course but not the booking)

As mentioned if you are gold you can call to reserve a seat for her but that still won’t mean it appears in your account and nor are the merged in any way.

I’ve booked separate flights for my son a couple of times and if I want to look at the booking I use the original confirmation email which will have a link to “Manage My Booking”. This will take you to the booking in the person’s account and do stuff like seat selection. I think I must also have been able to do OLCI this way as I have no recollection what his BAEC account password is! It stays as a separate booking though, even though he’s in our HHA.
