Hi all
Quick question from me. If I have an existing flight booking (longer than 5 days) and then subsequently add a car rental via BA on a manage my booking basis. Will this then qualify as a ‘holiday’ from the double tier points promotion perspective? And idea ?
No, with any kind of package booking all the elements have to be booked at the same time, you can’t add bits to an existing booking.
Not related to double TP – but one other detail I recently ran into :
I added car rental 5 days after booking a flight through BA with Avios on Alaska Air. Three months later Alaska cancelled and rebooked me a day earlier. When I called BA Holidays to amend the car hire, they said they did not have to do it for free as I had not added the car hire within 24hrs of the flight booking and so it would cost me a £100 change fee.
They did relent this time, and changed it, but I was not something I had been aware of, so I will add car hire more quickly in future.
